Taxonomy
Lipmanium ovalum was named by Bragina (2008). Its type locality is Arakapas Massif, middle unit, which is in a Turonian/Coniacian basinal (siliceous) chert in the Perapedhi Formation of Cyprus.
It was recombined as Microsciadiocapsa ovala by Danelian (2010).
