Taxonomy
Polypora commutabilis was named by Morozova (1986). Its type specimen is PIN 3947/88 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chetvertaya creek, Savina river, outcrop 14015-1, Novaya Zemlya, which is in a Roadian marine horizon in the Savinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
