Taxonomy
Grypoceras aemulans was named by Kummel (1953). Its type specimen is BMNH C47068, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chhidru, Lower Ceratite marl, Salt Range, which is in a Dienerian offshore marl in the Mianwali Formation of Pakistan.
