Taxonomy
Healdia parallela was named by Kellett (1935). Its type specimen is USNM 90111 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cottonwood River Bridge, Elmdale, which is in a Gzhelian shallow subtidal shale in the Elmdale Formation of Kansas.
