Taxonomy

Decatopecten was named by Sowerby (1839) [Sepkoski's age data: T Ol-l R Sepkoski's reference number: 96]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Pterioida by Sepkoski (2002); to Pectinidae by Lamprell and Whitehead (1992), Jensen (1996), Kafanov et al. (2001) and Rosenberg et al. (2006); and to Decatopectinini by Bouchet et al. (2010).

Synonyms

Comptopallium was named by Iredale (1939) [m. kosnik taxon no: 8313].

It was synonymized subjectively with Decatopecten by Kiessling (2009).

It was assigned to Pectinidae by Lamprell and Whitehead (1992).
Pallium was named by Schumacher (1817). It is extant.

It was reranked as Pecten (Pallium) by Grant, IV and Gale (1931) and Ladd and Hoffmeister (1945); it was synonymized subjectively with Decatopecten by Rosenberg et al. (2006).

It was assigned to Pecten by Grant, IV and Gale (1931) and Ladd and Hoffmeister (1945).
