Taxonomy

Hagiastrum macrum was named by De Wever (1981). Its type locality is Gümüslü, sample 1662D, which is in a Pliensbachian basinal (carbonate) limestone in the Sögütlü dere Formation of Turkey.

Synonyms

Tetratrabs imlayi was named by Yeh (1987). Its type specimen is NMNS (000027) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Suplee-Izee area, OR-589D, which is in a Toarcian marine mudstone/limestone in the Snowshoe Formation of Oregon.

It was synonymized subjectively with Hagiastrum macrum by Gorican et al. (2006).
