Howseia latirostrata
Taxonomy
Productus latirostratus was named by Howse (1848). Its type specimen is GSM 59737, a valve (dorsal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dalton-le-Dale, Durham (Howse collection), which is in a Wuchiapingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Ford Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Howseia.
It was recombined as Howseia latirostrata by Logan (1963).
