Taxonomy
Bairdia subrounda was named by Hou (1954). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is By222, Zhangjianao, Maanshan, Changyang district, which is in a Kungurian marine shale in the Qixia Formation of China.
It was recombined as Silenites subrounda by Yi (1993).
