Taxonomy
Enteropleura was named by Kittl (1912) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis Tr Nori]. It is not extant. Its type is Daonella guembeli.

It was reranked as Daonella (Enteropleura) by Capoa de Bernardi (1970).

It was assigned to Daonella by Capoa de Bernardi (1970); to Pterioida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Halobiidae by Kittl (1912), Hopkin and McRoberts (2005) and Ros-Franch et al. (2014).
