Glaphyrites deciensis
Taxonomy
Paragastrioceras deciense was named by Plummer and Scott (1937). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lenox Hills, base of escarpment north of Wedin's ranch, which is in a Sakmarian carbonate limestone in the Lenox Hills Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Eoasianites deciensis by Miller and Furnish (1940); it was recombined as Glaphyrites deciensis by Leonova (2002) and Sabattini et al. (2006).
