Taxonomy
Poulpus curvispinus was named by Dumitrica et al. (1980). It is not extant. Its type locality is Recoaro, RC samples, which is in an Illyrian/Fassanian basinal (carbonate) limestone in the Buchenstein Formation of Italy.
