It was assigned to Diplograptina by Bulman (1970); to Graptolithina by Kozłowska-Dawidziuk (2001); to Graptoloidea by Kozłowska−Dawidziuk (2002); and to Retiolitoidea by Melchin et al. (2011) and Maletz (2014).
