Kobayashites was named by Hayami (1959) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bajo]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Bakevelliidae by Cox et al. (1969) and Yin and Fürsich (1991); and to Pterioida by Sepkoski (2002).
