Taxonomy
Ficus lanzi was named by Olsson (1964). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada Camarones [Esmeraldas Fm], which is in a Pliocene marine sandstone/sandstone in the Esmeraldas Formation of Ecuador.
