Chlamys mediacostata

Taxonomy
Pecten mediacostatus was named by Hanna (1926). Its type specimen is CAS 1830, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS 681 - Alverson Cañon [Imperial Fm], which is in a Pliocene marine reef rocks in California.

It was recombined as Lyropecten mediacostatus by Durham (1950); it was recombined as Chlamys mediacostata by Moore (1984).
