Taxonomy
Terebra burckhardti was named by Hertlein and Jordan (1927). Its type specimen is LSJU (no number), a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LSJU Loc. 66, San Ignacio [Isidro Fm], which is in a Miocene marine sandstone in the Isidro Formation of Mexico.
