Taxonomy
Tellina nasuta was named by Conrad (1837). It is extant.

It was recombined as Macoma (Macoma) nasuta by Moore (2003); it was recombined as Macoma nasuta by Ashley (1895), Loel and Corey (1932), Woodring and Bramlette (1950), Coan et al. (2000) and Hendy (2021).
