Taxonomy
Tellina hornii was named by Gabb (1864). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Psammobia hornii by Dall (1900) and Hanna (1927); it was recombined as Gari hornii by Stewart (1930) and Nilsen (1987); it was recombined as Gari (Gobraeus) hornii by Moore (2003).
