Taxonomy
Ratcliffespongia multiforamina was named by Wu et al. (2005) [Holotype NIGPAS-ELRC-Sp 0004, only specimen known]. Its type locality is Pangwangcun Village, near Jianxin; ~170m, which is in a Botomian deep subtidal mudstone in the Huangboling Formation of China.
