Taxonomy
Wannerispira shangganensis was named by Kaim and Nützel (2010). Its type specimen is PIMUZ 28186, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shanggan Sha3, Leye County, which is in a Griesbachian shallow subtidal packstone in China.
