Odontogryphaea was named by Ihering (1903) [Sepkoski's age data: K Maes T Eo-m-l]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Flemingostreini by Cox et al. (1971); to Ostreinae by Vokes (1980); and to Pterioida by Sepkoski (2002).
