Drillia incisa was named by Carpenter (1863). It is extant.

It was recombined as Moniliopsis incisa by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Clathrodrillia incisa by Willett (1946); it was recombined as Ophiodermella incisa by Hendy (2021).
