Synonyms

Chlamys durhami was named by Adegoke (1969). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Chlamys hodgei by Moore (1984); it was synonymized subjectively with Chlamys rubida by Coan et al. (2000).
Pecten (Chlamys) jordani was named by Arnold (1903) [DISTRIBUTION: Cenozoic; North Pacific.]. Its type specimen is USNM 162522, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Deadman Island - "Pliocene" [Timms Point Silt], which is in a Pleistocene coastal siltstone in the Timms Point Silt Formation of California.

It was recombined as Chlamys rubida jordani by Faustman (1964); it was recombined as Chlamys (Chlamys) rubida jordani by MacNeil (1967); it was synonymized subjectively with Chlamys rubida by Coan et al. (2000); it was recombined as Chlamys (Chlamys) jordani by Kafanov et al. (2001); it was recombined as Chlamys jordani by Moore (1984) and Hendy (2021).
Pecten kincaidi was named by Oldroyd (1920). It is extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Chlamys rubida by Coan et al. (2000).
Pecten (Chlamys) venturaensis was named by Waterfall (1929). It is extant. Its type specimen is UCMP 31416, a shell. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 7097, which is in a Pliocene/Pleistocene marine horizon in the Pico Formation of California.

It was synonymized subjectively with Chlamys picoensis by Moore (1984); it was synonymized subjectively with Chlamys rubida by Coan et al. (2000).
Pecten hindsii was named by Carpenter (1864). It is extant.

It was corrected as Pecten hindsi by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Chlamys hindsii by MacNeil (1957); it was recombined as Chlamys (Chlamys) rubida hindsii by MacNeil (1967); it was synonymized subjectively with Chlamys rubida by Coan et al. (2000).
Pecten (Chlamys) islandicus picoensis was named by Waterfall (1929). Its type specimen is UCMP 31419, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Chlamys (Chlamys) picoensis by MacNeil (1967); it was recombined as Chlamys picoensis by Moore (1984); it was synonymized subjectively with Chlamys rubida by Coan et al. (2000).
