Yagudinella was named by Kafanov (1975) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-u-u R Sepkoski's reference number: 1112]. It is extant. Its type is Cardium (Serripes) notabile.

It was reranked as Serripes (Yagudinella) by Coan et al. (2000).

It was assigned to Serripes by Coan et al. (2000); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
