Taxonomy
Pseudophillipsia (Carniphillipsia) caruancensis was named by Hahn et al. (1990). Its type specimen is EHW-J833, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Na Peceh, Karavanke Mountains, which is in an Asselian shallow subtidal limestone in the Dolzanova Soteska Formation of Slovenia.
