Taxonomy
Permophorus vendiavkiriensis was named by Kurushin (1992). Its type specimen is TsSGM 950/106, a valve (Right valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vendyavkiri River, Buur river basin, Olenek River, which is in a Smithian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
