Taxonomy
Danubites kapila was named by Diener (1897). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is South of Muth (subrobustus Zone), which is in a Spathian marine horizon in India.

It was recombined as Anakashmirites kapila by Spath (1934); it was recombined as Kashmirites kapila by Brayard and Bucher (2008).
