Taxonomy
Neopronorites bakeri was named by Miller and Furnish (1940). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dugout Mountain, south side, Glass Mountains, which is in an Artinskian carbonate limestone in the Lenox Hills Formation of Texas.
