Taxonomy
Tulongites xiaoqiaoi was named by Brühwiler et al. (2010). Its type specimen is PIMUZ 27621 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tulong TuB5, which is in a Smithian deep subtidal lime mudstone in the Tulong Formation of China.
