Taxonomy
Inanihella was named by Nazarov and Ormiston (1984) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ludl Sepkoski's reference number: 546]. Its type is Helioentactinia bakanasensis.

It was assigned to Spumellaria by Sepkoski (2002); to Radiolaria by Danelian and Popov (2003); and to Inaniguttidae by De Wever et al. (2001) and Siveter et al. (2007).
