It was recombined as Pustularia nucleus by Gabb (1873); it was recombined as Cypraea (Pustularia) nucleus by Anderson (1929); it was recombined as Staphylaea (Nuclearia) nucleus by MacNeil (1960); it was recombined as Cypraea (Staphylaea) nucleus by Okutaini (2000).
