Ojoceratops fowleri

Reptilia - Ceratopsidae

Taxonomy
Ojoceratops fowleri was named by Sullivan and Lucas (2010). Its type specimen is SMP VP-1865, a partial skull (left squamosal), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SMP Loc. 410b, Willow Wash, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Ojo Alamo Formation of New Mexico.

Lucas 2010A chasmosaurine distinguished from other chasmosaurines by its unique squamosal morphology: enlarged base; lacks embayment of the otic notch; wide and arched, forming an angle of 115° at the position of epijugal 1; truncated and squared off distally; medial border concave; lateral border convex forming an arc of 80°.
