Towapteria

Taxonomy
Towapteria was named by Nakazawa and Newell (1968) [Sepkoski's age data: P Sakm Tr Indu Sepkoski's reference number: 157]. Its type is Towapteria nipponica.

It was assigned to Bakevellidae by Fang (1987); to Pterioida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Bakevelliidae by Waller and Stanley (2005).
