Taxonomy
Microcheilinella shicheni was named by Crasquin (2010). Its type specimen is P6M2416, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Meishan 04C21-1, Bed 21, Meishan D, which is in a Changhsingian offshore ramp lime mudstone in the Changxing Formation of China.
