Taxonomy
Terrakea rylstonensis was named by Briggs (1998). Its type specimen is AM F45480, a valve (Ventral valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Rylstone, which is in a Roadian coastal mudstone in the Snapper Point Formation of Australia.
