Taxonomy
Nucula glendonensis was named by Dana (1849). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Glendon Homestead, Hunter River (USNM coll), which is in a Wordian coastal siltstone in the Muree Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Nuculopsis glendonensis by Waterhouse (1964) and Waterhouse (1988).
