Cassianoides rara
Taxonomy
Cassianella rara was named by Waterhouse (1987). Its type specimen is UQ F74319, a valve (Right valve internal mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is UQ L4586, quarry along highway north of Theodore, Bowen Basin, which is in a Wuchiapingian coastal siliciclastic in the Flat Top Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Cassianoides rara by Nakazawa (1999).
