Steneosaurus durobrivensis
Taxonomy
Steneosaurus durobrivensis was named by Andrews (1909). Its type specimen is BMNH R3701, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Peterborough area, Leeds Collection, which is in a Callovian offshore mudstone in the Oxford Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was synonymized subjectively with Machimosaurus hugii by Pierce et al. (2009).
