Saccella chiriquiana

Taxonomy
Nuculana (Jupiteria) chiriquiana was named by Olsson (1942). Its type specimen is PRI 4080, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Charco Azul [Charco Azul Fm], which is in a Pliocene offshore shale in the Charco Azul Formation of Costa Rica.

It was recombined as Saccella chiriquiana by Hendy et al. (2008).
