Watsonella crosbyi

Taxonomy

Watsonella crosbyi was named by Grabau (1900). It is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Watsonella.

Synonyms

Heraultia varensalensis was named by Cobbold (1935). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Heraultipegma varensalensis by Pojeta and Runnegar (1976); it was synonymized subjectively with Watsonella crosbyi by Landing (1989) and Parkhaev (2001).
Heraultia sibirica was named by Missarzhevsky (1974). Its type specimen is GIN 4287/9, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is M303/2, A301. Tiktirikteekh Creek/Rivulet, which is in a Tommotian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Pestrotsvet Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Watsonella sibirica by Gubanov et al. (1999); it was synonymized subjectively with Watsonella crosbyi by Landing (1989), Kouchinsky (1999) and Li et al. (2011).
Heraultipegma yunnanensis was named by He and Yang (1982).

It was recombined as Watsonella yunnanensis by Feng (2003); it was synonymized subjectively with Watsonella crosbyi by Li et al. (2011).
