Taxonomy
Pteria bisincilis was named by Guo (1985). Its type specimen is IVy 0140, a valve (Left valve, external mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Huanglishu, Pingzhen, Yanshan County, which is in a Griesbachian marine horizon in the Ximatang Formation of China.
