Taxonomy
Drillia (Crassispira) cotteri was named by Vredenburg (1921) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Myanmar.]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Kama (Kama stage), which is in an Aquitanian marine horizon in the Kama Formation of Myanmar.

It was recombined as Inquisitor cotteri by Piccoli (1991) and Piccoli (1991).
