Taxonomy
Frenguelliella was named by Leanza (1942) [Sepkoski's age data: J Hett K Maes Sepkoski's reference number: 93,991]. It is not extant. Its type is Trigonia inexspectata.

It was assigned to Myophorellinae by Poulton (1979); to Trigonioida by Sepkoski (2002); to Frenguelliellinae by Pérez et al. (2008); and to Trigoniidae by Hayami (1975) and Scholz et al. (2008).
