Taxonomy
Eurysites rotundus was named by Cooper (1989). It is not extant. Its type locality is KK8, Al Huwayrah, Thambites Zone, which is in a Bathonian shallow subtidal limestone in the Dhruma Formation of Saudi Arabia.
It was synonymized subjectively with Burmirhynchia athiensis by Alméras et al. (2010).
