Taxonomy
Stenorina parallela was named by Cooper (1989). It is not extant. Its type locality is KK9, Khashm Mishraq, Atash Member, which is in a Callovian shallow subtidal limestone in the Dhruma Formation of Saudi Arabia. It is the type species of Stenorina.

It was recombined as Dorsoplicathyris parallela by Williams et al. (2006).
