Taxonomy
Sphriganaria modesta was named by Cooper (1989). It is not extant. Its type locality is Wadi Atj, S1295, which is in a Callovian shallow subtidal limestone in the Dhruma Formation of Saudi Arabia. It is the type species of Sphriganaria.
