Taxonomy
Uniformitheca ovaliformis was named by Missarzhevsky and Mambetov (1981) [Mambetov in Missarzhevskiy and Mambetov (1981)]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Kyrshabakty, bed 6, which is in a Tommotian perireef or subreef carbonate in the Chulaktau Formation of Kazakhstan.
