Taxonomy
Pseudorthotheca costata was named by Missarzhevsky and Mambetov (1981) [Mambetov in Missarzhevskiy and Mambetov (1981)]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Koksu, bed 5, which is in a Tommotian marine phosphorite in the Chulaktau Formation of Kazakhstan.
