Xenochelys bridgerensis
Taxonomy
Xenochelys bridgerensis was named by Hutchison (1991). Its type specimen is UCMP 121734, a partial shell (fragmentary shell with nearly complete plastron, partial carapace, and ilium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP V76186, Lone Tree White Layer West, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.
