Callawayia neoscapularis

Taxonomy
Shastasaurus neoscapularis was named by Mcgowan (1994). Its type specimen is ROM 41993, a partial skeleton (skull, one forefin, both coracoids, 35 vertebrae, and numerous ribs), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Flipper Quarry, which is in a Norian marine horizon in Canada.

It was recombined as Metashastasaurus neoscapularis by Nicholls and Manabe (2001); it was recombined as Callawayia neoscapularis by Maisch and Matzke (2000), Maisch (2010) and Ji et al. (2016).
